Welcome to Chincoteague Reports

Purpose
The purpose of Chincoteague Reports is to disseminate information about:

  • The activities of governmental bodies whose actions affect life on Chincoteague Island, and
  • The issues upon which those governmental bodies must act. 

The intention of Chincoteague Reports is to help residents and property owners become and stay engaged with the civic life of the Island.

Chincoteague Civic Calendar
Click on the link under Chincoteague Calendar on the right sidebar to bring up a page that shows all of the major governmental and civic meetings that may be of interest to residents and property owners on Chincoteague.  The calendar contains dates and times of the meetings as well as street maps to help you find the locations of the meetings.  Descriptions of meetings are provided when the topics warrant.

Chincoteague Reports is not affiliated with any political party, corporation, newspaper, civic action group, governmental body or any other organization.  Chincoteague Reports does not endorse political candidates and does not advocate for specific outcomes of unresolved civic issues facing the residents and property owners of Chincoteague Island.  However, we hope that the timeliness, frequency and quality of information contained within Chincoteague Reports will stimulate and inform discussion about civic matters in various formats and places.
