The purpose of this notice is to seek public comment on a draft permit from DEQ that will allow the release of treated domestic wastewater from a restaurant into a body of water in Wattsville, Virginia 23483. Applicant: Mr. Ray Twiford P.O. Box 13 Wattsville, Virginia 23483, Permit No. VA0092037. Facility: Ray’s Shanty 33014 Chincoteague Road Wattsville, Virginia 23483. The applicant proposes to discharge treated domestic sewage from a wastewater treatment plant, design flow of 0.007 mgd, at a 200-seat restaurant. Chincoteague Reports is advised that the “body of water” is Wallops Pond. This body of water drains into Mosquito Creek and that creek drains into Chincoteague Bay public comment period ends on January 19, 2007.
