Volunteers are assigned to attend and take notes during at least one civic meeting per month. Public meetings of government generally last about two hours. Public hearings often last longer. Beyond the time required to attend the meeting and take notes, additional time will be required to prepare the notes for publication on this weblog. The final draft of notes prepared by a volunteer must be delivered to Chincoteague Reports in electronic form within 48 hours of the meeting or hearing.
Access to a computer with an Internet connection is required. Sound note-taking, writing and editing skills are essential.
